What is CBD?
CBD stands for cannabidiol, which is a natural compound derived from the cannabis plant. It is one of the many cannabinoids found in cannabis, but unlike THC, it is not psychoactive. CBD has gained popularity for its potential therapeutic and wellness effects, as well as a substitute to nicotine tobacco.
In countries were THC is legal like the USA, the farmers grow certain hemp plants that are genetically predisposed to produce flowers with minimal CBD content and high THC content. In Switzerland and the EU the current regulations only allow for CBD with a THC concentration below 1%. Farmers growing hemp plants have mainly focused on extracting CBG, CBN, and CBD.
Where can I buy CBG?
You can purchase your favorite CBG products at almost any kiosk in Switzerland. If you want to save time and money, you can also purchase from ENJOOY-CBD Shop and Headshop. We have the best quality CBG Flowers, CBG oils and CBG gel capsules for sleeping.
Can I replace my medications with CBG or CBD?
No. Never. It’s important to note that neither CBG nor CBD are a substitute for medical treatment, and individuals with underlying health conditions should consult with their healthcare provider before incorporating CBD oil into their regimen.
CBD should never replace a therapy prescribed by a doctor or medications. The information provided here is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease. Always ask a doctor if your health is at risk and if you are taking medication. They can clarify with you whether the use of the CBD or CBN can cause problems to your body, health and wellbeing.
What is the best brand of CBD oil and drops?
The CBD industry in Switzerland is within the best in the world. Switzerland is the second largest producer of hemp (8,000 hectares). France currently has 12,000 hectares of farmland dedicated to CBD. We currently only source CBD from local Swiss farmers and manufacturers, benefiting the Swiss farmers growing CBD and reduction in carbon footprint.
After testing multiple Swiss brands and reviewing the laboratory results, the manufacturers Qualicann and Naturecannm have emerged as test winners and bestsellers offering a wide range of CBD products. Feel free to add their products to your shopping cart to enjoy their best quality.
Having said that, based on our experience and laboratory test results the difference between these now famous brand names and “generic” or “direct-from-farmer” CBD is not much, if any. At the end of the day your intake of CBD, whether full or broad spectrum will be based on the chemical composition of the plant, which are all derived from a limited number of EU approved genomes. We decided to offer our ENJOOY-CBD brand to consumers and publish the third-party laboratory analysis.
Is CBG legal in Switzerland?
CBG with a THC concentration lower that 1% can be legally sold and purchased in Switzerland. While THC is responsible for the intoxicating effect of cannabis, CBD and CBG have no psychotropic effect and is accordingly not covered by the Swiss Narcotics Act.
The consumption of CBD with more than 1% of tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) is prohibited in Switzerland.
What requirements do Swiss CBG Growers and manufacturers have to meet?
Every product must undergo a mandatory notification process to the Federal Office of Public Health before it can be made available for sale. This notification includes a comprehensive laboratory analysis that verifies the non-psychotropic properties of the product and ensures the absence of nicotine. Additionally, the packaging of these products must adhere to specific requirements.
To promote consumer awareness and safety, retail packs must prominently display warning pictures, similar to those found on cigarette packs. These warning pictures should cover a minimum of 35% of the front and 50% of the back of the packaging area. Moreover, the packaging must clearly state the information “< 1% THC” and “Plant-based products, without tobacco” in accordance with the guidelines outlined by the Federal Office of Public Health (FOPH, 2017).
